Home Network Setup
With more and more computers in each household, people are beginning to see the benefits of linking them all together in order to quickly share information and stream content such as movies etc.
Today there are a great many different products available to choose from, both wired and wireless, however they are not all created equal and some are almost useless! Take the pain out of setting up a home network by letting me do it for you.
Currently I have experience of networking across the Windows range of products. I am also learning to administer Linux distributions, particularly Ubuntu. Being open source (free) software, users can save a small fortune by installing this operating system as a file/print/media server.
Contact me with your needs; in general I will prefer to visit you in person in order to view the property. This will enable me to understand the layout of the building and where cables or wireless routers will need to be placed etc. You'd be surprised how a misplaced router can slow a connection so it's worth planning things in advance.
