Data Recovery Process
Your data is precious so I have devised a simple yet effective four step recovery process. Once your drive has arrived I will photograph the drive to record its external condition before the second step of running diagnostic tests. Upon establishing the fault I then move on to the third step of the process which involves replacing external parts or correcting firmware and file corruption. I then move on to the final stage which is recovering the data and verifying its integrity. I employ industry leading tools that can analyse and read defective media without causing further damage to help me achieve this.
Previously I have performed data retrieval on hard drives suffering from power surges, accidental deletion, formatting, circuit board failure and virus attacks. I also recover external drives that have been dropped or accidentally connected to laptop power supplies. The only recoveries I cannot undertake are those with internal physical problems such as head failure. These require the use of a cleanroom which I do not posses. However in these instances I can (with permission) send the drive on to a third party who can perform these recoveries.
Confidentiality
I value your business so confidentiality is just as important to me as the recovery itself. I do not view the personal contents of your drive when recovering data, preffering to check "common" files such as Windows system files to verify that data is complete.
